Urban noise doesn’t seem to bother furniture designer Fernando Abellanas when it comes to scouting locations for his studio: he actually built his underneath a concrete underpass in Valencia, Spain.
The studio comes together when Abellanas rolls the entire wood-and-metal base structure via a handcrank to join the end of the bridge where shelves hold and store his creative materials. The platform has waist-high walls that can be swung open for more space and light, and closed for privacy should he decide to spend the night. Perched about 16 meters above the ground, it’s a well-chosen location that provides the designer solitude and privacy, cleverly hidden in the heart of the bustling city.
Abellanas keeps mum about its address (rightfully so), but you can watch the video below for location clues.
