Poised on a dramatic plot on a hillside outside of San Jose, Feldman Architecture’s impressive Pavilion Home enjoys the kind of views that could easily eclipse any building. Alas, not in this case because the architect’s vision for the spot up in the clouds was to marry the house with its geography, organically blending it with the hillside to create a build that’s merely an extension of its beautiful location.

Starting with a flattened lot courtesy of a previous building that had burned to the ground, the home grew into a stunning triple-height villa, with its grandeur disguised by a beautiful glass pavilion that seemingly disappears into the steep hillside gradient. The eponymous pavilion is the highlight of the building, affording residents sweeping views from San Jose city center to the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance.
