Daniel Boddam’s eponymous architecture studio specialises in ‘creating calm, refined living spaces with personality’, a design statement that fits well with his side hustle in furniture design. Drawing on his founding principle of considered simplicity, Boddam’s furniture is created to resist trends and provide its owner with enduring design.
The side tables, dining tables, sconces, beds, and armchairs featured in the designer’s oeuvre utilise a range of materials from wood to concrete, retaining an unmistakable thread of familiarity between the designs. Highlights of his furniture include the Kelly Chair; an indoor sun lounger ‘aerated’ with cane webbing to offer the maximum comfort for a tropical environment; and the Monument Coffee Table, a perfectly proportioned tribute to Le Corbusier’s modular man.
