Deep within the bowels of a forest in the well-heeled Hamptons, this amazing home stands proud in a manicured clearing, representing a secret enclave for the couple who commissioned it as a retreat in which to escape the city and recharge the batteries. Clad in cedar wood, the triple story home located in the village of Southampton on New York’s Long island is a picture of tranquillity. Designed by local studio Blaze Makoid Architecture, the 7,000 square foot property is shaped to match the landscape around it, with its cantilevered rectangular blocks tracing the contours of the tree line. Seamless indoor/outdoor living is achieved by huge glass walls and a lack of partitioning within the home, with terraces extending from the ground floor family room out to the open-air pool.
