Born in Toronto, photographer Aaron Kreiswirth grew up in London and currently resides in New York City. Concentrating primarily on street scenes in urban environments, his work homes in on the facades that make up a city’s fabric, capturing the scenes that visitors and locals alike tend to look beyond. From random urban facades to candid captures of people interacting with their own digital world as the city moves around them, his images in this Paris series revel in exploring the human element of the city.
While this series of photographs was shot in Paris, the backdrop is almost unimportant, the true subject being the characters who linger unsuspectingly engaging in selfies or taking their own photographs via their ubiquitous smartphones.
