Bourgeois Lechasseur Architects Create a Cabin With Killer Views of Charlevoix

Peer through the wide glass windows of Cabin A and vast vistas of Quebec’s St. Lawrence River and surrounding landscape await. Nestled in Quebec’s Charlevoix region on a solitary plot built into a slope, Cabin A offers an alpine escape in one of Canada’s most evocative tourist destinations.

Created by Quebec City-based Bourgeois Lechasseur Architects, the triangular cabin is a luxury vacation home designed to drink in the beauty of its surroundings. Wood paneling anchors the home with its natural environment, huge windows invite the views, and an open floorplan connects the interior with exterior living. Loosely mimicking a naval ship, the home features ‘below deck’ leisure and spa areas and ‘upper deck’ terraces from which to make the most of the treetop sight lines that range over the distant water.
