Off-grid beauty is the thing at the Kumaon Hotel, where the luxurious property delivers solace from a position nestled in a secret ridge overlooking the revered Nanda Devi Range on its own private mountain retreat.
Created by Zowa Architects, the hotel utilised locally sourced materials to create a building that blurs with the natural environment. Everything in the hotel was made on site – including the furniture – and the property plans to implement various eco-friendly systems to honor its responsibility to the location. All else aside though, it’s the views that make this the hotel of your dreams, with those Himalayan vistas extending as far as the eye can see from the hotel’s position 1600 meters above sea level.
