Unlike some brands out there, the origins of Patagonia have always spoken of a company trying to do things the right way, with some semblance of balance between capitalism and conservation. Coming up in the carefree, hippy, happy days of 70s climbing, the brand’s clothes, climbing equipment, accessories and style were steadily in synch with recreating the dream of creating the best gear in keeping with their core beliefs of quality, style and authenticity.
Recently releasing images of an archive tracing back the brand to its origins, the pictures show a company that, while taking quality and innovations seriously, also nailed some gnarly patterns – none more so than in the famous ‘Pataloha’ Hawaiian shirt.
