Nature Takes Center Stage in Singapore’s 65BTP House

Nature takes center stage in the 65BTP House in Singapore, with a colossal pre-war rain tree setting the nature-inspired tone for the home designed by studio Ong & Ong. “Throughout this home are numerous encounters with nature whilst still being very much indoors,” the studio states.

The home’s placement offers the inhabitants a view of the tree from whichever level they find themselves in. The ground floor, where the living and kitchen areas are located, seamlessly transit to the garden and swimming pool. A grand spiral staircase leads to the upper floor’s bedrooms and bathrooms, where the family members are spoiled with views of nature via a glass-covered balcony. The basement, surprisingly, also provides a view of the rain tree via strategically-positioned skylights, which also lets in a ton of natural light.
