Views of the beach and ocean contribute to the privileged hilltop location of the stunning T3 House by CUBO Design Architects. Located in the picturesque Japanese seaside town of Kamakura, the residential home was imagined by Hitoshi Saruta, who followed his clients’ brief by instilling the build with a strong sense of Japanese architecture, while allowing for elements of contemporary design.

Traditional Japanese materials including granite, wood lattice, black plaster, and Japanese plaster feature in the construction of the four-level residence, while the sight of continuous eaves are a nod to the classic Japanese style of Sukiya building. Beyond the open, airy interior, a generous rock garden represents a serene space in keeping with the laidback feel of the home’s breezy seaside location.
