Stepping through the egg-shaped door of the Inns Whisky Bar in Chengdu, China, we discover lush, cavernous interiors that wholeheartedly embrace the whiskey-drinking experience. The locally-based interior design firm Wooton Designers let themselves be inspired by the distinct form of the large copper pot stills used in whiskey distilleries, resulting in organic curves and arches throughout the 150 square meter (1615 square feet) bar.
The warm, inviting copper tones are complemented by volcanic stone bar and plush leather seats. On the ceiling hangs an art installation dubbed the Ice Sphere, a large textured sphere that becomes an intriguing addition to the already unforgettable space. Crafted as the ideal place to sit back and mull over a whisky from their vast selection, the Inns Whisky Bar’s interiors and whiskey offerings is building its reputation as one of Sichuan’s deserving nighttime destinations.
