This horizon-spanning residence is hard to miss against its Palm Springs backdrop, with boulders and desert mountains framing this modernist home built by Los Angeles firm Woods + Darangan.
The brass tint mimics its picturesque backdrop, earth-toned plaster and masonry strengthening the connection with its surroundings. Patinated brass panels separate glass walls, offering a peek into the stylish interior. The private and social areas carry the same palette all throughout, with the concrete and brick walls, furnishings, and indoor flora carrying the same desert aesthetic. The two wings are connected with a glass-enclosed bridge, with sparse desert plants creating a surreal rendition of the outside terrain.
An outdoor area, deck, pool, and fireplace offer picturesque views of the surrounding landscape, with the house itself adapting to the shine and shimmer of the desert sun.
