Hoxton’s portfolio of international hotels continues with its latest London outpost arriving in Shepherd’s Bush. Although it’s hardly West London’s most illustrious neighborhood, Shepherd’s Bush is close to the likes of Notting Hill, Kensington, and Chelsea, and with a Hoxton on its patch the area is clearly on the up. The hotel brings a style that diverts away from the brand’s ‘humble’ Hoxton origins when things were more a little more warehouse chic (it was in an old carpark after all). Hoxton Shepherd’s Bush has been styled to appeal to the modern take on mid-century luxe, with plenty of cocktail chairs, motif panelling, and tactile plush velvet in the public areas and rooms featuring statement floral curtains, rattan lampshades, and large Crittal style windows. The result is a property that feels a world away from the built-up concrete of the outside world, a fantasy place to stay in the way that the best hotels should be. 

The design was taken inhouse, with owner Ennismore using its very own AIME Studios to execute the project. The result is a mid-century dream that doesn’t cling too close to the usual signifiers of the style, instead branching out with clashing retro interior touches that create a stunningly confused sense of fun.
