Aussie architecture design firm Mcbride Charles Ryan brings the sky a little bit closer to the earth with the delightful Cloud House, built as an addition to an existing double-fronted Edwardian house in Fitzroy North near Melbourne. The conservative facade which faces the street leads into a bright red kitchen that acts as the house’s center, and opens up into the cloud-shaped structure, where the walls merge harmoniously with the floor and ceiling. The striking space and shape lends an air of playfulness to this contemporary home.
