One tends to remember imagery as striking as the ones produced by photographer Neil Kryszak. Bathed in luxurious, oversaturated tones, the ordinary scenes of his adopted city of Los Angeles are transformed into charmingly cinematic and surreal landscapes. Shot mostly at nights, his photographs reveal textures and architecture under the glow of artificial lights. What would normally be deemed inconsequential seem to fascinate him, from street puddles to deserted streets, from motel signs to shadows cast on pavements. Subject, technique and composition come together to form meditative, thought-provoking environments, but Kryszak leaves his work open to interpretation, preferring his viewers to connect his images to their own experiences and feelings.
A native of New York, Kryszak is currently based in Los Angeles, CA pursuing fine art, commercial and fashion photography. He has collaborated with Adobe, Audi, Universal Music and Tappan Collective, among others. More on his website and Instagram.
