Slotting in neatly in the space between Airbnbs and traditional hotels is Moliving, a US startup offering nomadic pop-up hotel pods for landowners, future hoteliers, national parks or campgrounds looking to develop smaller scale hospitality solutions in months versus years at a fraction of the cost, without any sacrifice to luxury and commitment to sustainability and mobility.
Due to open later this year is the brand’s debut venture named Hurley House, announced to feature 60 units measuring 400 square feet (37 square meters) and set across a 55-acre property in the Hudson Valley. A project between unit-owning Moliving and Luxembourg-based landowners Arizona Investissements, Hurley House’s durability, flexibility and luxury features are a game-changer in the hôtellerie scene. “Our mission is to democratize the hotel industry and allow landowners to invest in their property as a hospitality destination in an efficient and scalable manner,” states the company.
Each pod follows the format of a self-levelling system that leaves a minimum footprint on the terrain, solar-powered panels, and tasteful interiors on par with traditional hotel rooms.
Moliving’s prefab units are mobile and constructed from recycled and eco-friendly materials, designed, developed and manufactured locally to reduce the carbon footprint. See the images below for a preview!
