Having switched careers from a regular nine-to-five in the City of London to embrace his passion for street photography, Joshua K. Jackson found an early muse in the streets of London. Trailing the shot down dark alleys, plodding the quiet streets in drizzle, patiently searching for compositions that piqued his interest, Jackson discovered a London filled with inspiration. From Chinatown to Soho, Tooting to Piccadilly Circus, his images adopt a seductive, cinematic tone that speak of a photographer with a sense for the moment.
Often shooting the city in dim light or floods of neon, regularly in the rain, London’s own unpredictable atmosphere affects the images. Working in tandem with his personal projects, Jackson has created commercial campaigns for the likes of Apple, Bacardi, and Panasonic. His new monograph, Sleepless in Soho, was released through Setanta Books on the 22nd October. See more of his work on his website.
