The MA House by Jacobsen Arquitetura is the second home commissioned by a client looking to upgrade to a bigger nest for their growing family. Built on a plot of land in one of the noblest areas of Sao Paulo, the house features an interesting exterior of different facades: asymmetric zinc brises, wooden lattice panels and glass doors. 

Freijó wood lining, grey travertine marble floors and white walls line the interiors, a sober palette highlighting the client’s extensive contemporary art collection. On the first level, the social area is visually and physically connected to the terrace, garden and swimming pool, an area that profits from the sunniest orientation possible.

The bedrooms and bathrooms are appointed on the second level, flanked by wooden panels that provide privacy or transparency. A staircase leads down to a well-equipped basement fitted with a large gym, an impressive wine cellar, laundry and service rooms. MA House is a dwelling that exudes a cozy, familial atmosphere despite its understated grandeur, truly a special home for generations to come.
