In our list of things we’d never expect to see under a bridge, a “flying house” would be one of them, now proven wrong by H3T Architects. The architecture firm, known for creating small structures in unexpected places amongst their bigger projects, recently built and installed this small black house under a bridge in the Czech Republic which appears to float mid-air. Held aloft by suspended steel cables attached to the bridge’s underside, the 4 square-meter home hovers mysteriously over the ground, fuelling the curiosity of random passersby.

And for those who dare to act on that curiosity, they’ll find a ladder hidden on the house’s underside, which leads to a tiny living room, wood stove, a sleeping loft and a view of the forest from the windows.
