Designed by ZROBIM Architects for a couple in the IT business who mostly work from home, the Green Apartment is comfortable enough for recreation and functional for long-term work. The 120 square-meter apartment comes in a soothing color palette of dark and light shades of grey and white, emphasised by green elements that reference the surrounding forest that trigger a connection between the exterior and interior.
A centrally-located cube divides the space into the living areas and hallways, its finishes harmoniously blending with the rest of the apartment. “It was important to make it accentuated but also functional,” the studio says about the cube element. Integrated into the cube is a neat and functional work space, hidden behind a wall of tinted glass. The social area includes an open-plan kitchen whose black façades cleverly hide the appliances as much as possible.
Thoughtful details and elements contribute to the overall charm of the apartment — doors that slide into the walls, the play of textures and fabrics, and the bespoke details and colors that define the apartment’s overall aesthetic. With ample storage space and an insulated loggia, Green Apartment is a space perfectly set up for the work-from-home lifestyle we all seem to be moving towards these days.
