Thailand’s Floating Z9 Resort Effortlessly Gets You into Vacation Mode

Floating on the Srinakarin Dam in Kanchanaburi, Thailand is the Z9 Resort, a picturesque hotel whose raft-like accommodations look out at the peaceful scenery of mountains and lakes. Dersyn Studio adopted a sustainable design for the project based on the client’s concept to reduce, reuse and recycle: Excess wood from the existing resort were used to craft decorations, embellishments and furniture pieces, and materials with a minimum ecological impact, such as steel structures instead of concrete ones, were utilised in Z9’s construction.

The south-facing rooms indulge guests with dazzling sunset views from private waterfront decks, while the rooms facing north offer relaxing sea and mountain landscapes. Once you’ve managed to completely shake off your worries and transition into holiday mode from a trip to the spa, sample the goods made from local ingredients at the hotel’s open-air cafe and bakery. Tempted? Visit the resort’s official website for more information.
