London’s Invisible Collection was established to bridge the gap between private and public in design offerings. Painfully aware that she would struggle to find a Papa Bear Armchair by Pierre Yovanovitch without hiring him for an entire project, co-founder Isabelle Dubern stumbled on a way of ordering the bespoke piece on the back of a friend’s (Anna Zaoui – Co-founder) project that was set to utilise the designer’s skills. And so, an idea was born. Along with pop-ups and an online experience, the Invisible Collection has its Belgravia showroom, which has established itself as the place to visit for those hard-to-find design collections. In a first for the company, it lent its space to Italian interior brand DimoreStudio during October’s London Frieze and in the process the entire Mews house was transformed into a beautifully plush Italian luxury fever dream. Tactile fabrics and opulent furniture set the cinematic tone, with the decorative design label’s furniture and objects dominating the space with a seductive appeal.
A showroom space turned installation, turned sensory experience, and the exclusivity of the designs only adds to the experience. Find more details here.
