Motion designer and art director Vladislav Solovjov has released a beautiful and intriguing series of digital artworks in Chemistry, where he renders colorful and mesmerizing images of smoke and particles expanding and contracting. While smoke is a dominant element in the series, several of them seem to be morphing into something solid, with veins or crystals forming from the bursting clouds. Some are trapped in transparent cubes or cylinders, while others are in the midst of explosion. Using the software Cinema4D, Octane Render and Houdini, Solovjov creates an eerie cross between science and the supernatural.
Solovjov, who is based in Saint Petersburg, Russia, has had his work featured for various clients and studios including Nike, Festival de Cannes, Mercedes, Prologue Films and Lenovo.
