While we’re all guilty of our own obsessive consumption, whatever that may be, artist Daniel Allen Cohen used his latest exhibition to deliver a tongue-in-cheek commentary on modern youth culture. Cultivating a list of drugs – some real, some not so real – his displays poke fun at the mixed messages, misplaced obsessions and shallow rewards offered by fly-by-night highs.

Take the Insta-Fame pill for example, and your social media branded prescription drug will make you ‘Famous for Life’ offering relief in the form of “Millions of followers, endless likes and thousands of comments.” From crude commentary to humorous design that keeps you looking back, you might say that the exhibition entitled Score has addictive qualities to the work.
