Nope, these aren’t real floor tiles, they’re actually spray-painted patterns on cement floors. Spanish artist Javier de Riba‘s Catalan-inspired floor tile patterns decorate the floors of abandoned hotels, dilapidated apartment blocks or hidden skate parks from Portugal to Barcelona to Tenerife in his ongoing installation series Floors.  The colorful patches show what these somber places could have potentially been had they not fallen into disrepair, a beautiful albeit temporary way of restoring them to their former glory.  See more of his work here.
