Nature and Light Flow Through This Fantastic Brazilian Home by Studio Otto Felix

Air and light flow bountifully through the OF House, a contemporary Brazilian home completed in 2016 by Studio Otto Felix. Simple and elegant, the house was created to “translate the cosmopolitan life, integrated spaces, ideal to welcome people over.”

A plant-filled interior and sliding glass doors that open up to the garden bring nature indoors. A biological pool, where carp swim freely in the chemical-free water, skirts the living area, and we get the effect of a home floating on water – a very zen-like and peaceful environment.

As for the rest of the home, the architects chose to forego bricks and concrete for panel-covered galvanized steel structures, generating less debris than traditional construction work. Stone and wood finishes add a warm, homey touch to this environmentally-conscious dwelling.
