The unassuming facade of Ansiao House conceals the unique architecture we find once stepping inside. Designed by Bruno Dias Arquitectura with the golden ratio in mind, the home’s different sections wrap around an inner yard with a pool, providing its residents with access to the convivial space while protecting their privacy at the same time. Painted predominantly in white, the house is softened by the use of warm materials, which renders the space cozy.
“Our sight meets two distant architectures, separated not only by time, but also by the difference of its building approach,” states the architectural studio. “A symbiosis was sought between them, by respecting the existing house. This relationship was born so naturally that one is led to think that one could not exist without the other.”
