Giving viewers the appealing sight of a winding road with open potential at the end of it, photographer Albert Dros teases the potential of a journey to… nowhere? Attached to his selection of beautiful photographs of the road, his statement reads, “Throughout the years I’ve driven a lot of roads in the Netherlands. None were as beautiful as these.” And we’d have to concur. Dros lays out the project in its simplest form – a collection of alluring, misty roads shot throughout the seasons that take the mind on its own journey. Absent of people aside from one figure cloaked in mist, the images are a celebration of the landscape of the Netherlands and an open invitation to viewers to make up their own story.
Albert Dros is a landscape photographer from the Netherlands whose work has featured in a range of international publications from the Huffington Post to National Geographic. More on his website and Instagram.
